Today I'm presenting my second Valentine card for 2026.  It includes a lot of techniques and some fun shapes.

Christmas Ornaments Cards - 2026 Christmas Card Series

Today I'm presenting a Christmas Card.  In January?  Yes, I do make Christmas Cards year-round and now especially with this huge snow/ice storm sweeping across the nation, I was in a particular mood to make some Christmas cards.

On the video, I have a few tips as well.  

The two cards here are from a series I made this past November for my Stamp-A-Stack.  I enjoy making these so much, I added 7 or 8 more to my Christmas Card stash for later this year.

Extraordinary Flora and Layered Thoughts

I've used these two stamp sets very often this past year - Birthday Cards, Thank you cards; mostly Thank you cards.

Strawberry Treats!

This gift box was inspired by another Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Diane Heatherington.  I took her idea and twisted it a bit.

I used the Mini Pizza boxes and stamped the strawberries before I folded it.  The pink tissue paper is from a gift I received from my husband.  I found the Hershey Strawberry Heart chocolates, and added the calyx from the punch with a glue dot.

What an excellent way to show someone you really appreciate them.  It's not just a thank you it's a special thank you treat!

Christmas in July - July 17, 2018

Right before I made this set of 6 cards, I was feeling like I was getting into a rut.  I felt I'd already used all my current and some favorite retired stamp sets.  All my paper was retired, and though I love it, it's retired.

Finally my paper order arrived!  (It took a long time to ship!)  I found this piece of plaid in the new Under the Mistletoe DSP, and had my idea.

 Another demonstrator showed the two label punches together, and I knew this card was a great way to show them.  A touch of some enamel dots, and a bit of ribbon and an embossed piece of cardstock, and I was off to the races again.

 Usually when you cut 12 x 12 paper for cards, there are pieces left over.  They're 4 x 1 1/2 inches.  Instead of saving them (and not use them) or putting them back in the package with them getting in the way, I've started using them on the inside of the card.  I cut them to 4 by 3/4 inch, and place them along an edge.  No wasted paper, and it lends some continuity from the outside to the inside of the card.

NOTE:  The enamel dots are long retired.  They were a door prize and the Merry Christmas just needed a little something.

Christmas in July - July 12, 2018

I Photoshopped this card!  Even thought I stamped so very carefully, I still had two smudges.

 I didn't want to waste the card (It will be kept for samples), and I knew I could fix it on the computer.  I again used the Tufted embossing folder and instead of pearls, used rhinestones this time.

I made only one of these to add to my Christmas in July total.  There will be more.

Initially the label was stamped in Cherry Cobbler but I scrapped that one.  I used the markers in Shaded Spruce and Cherry Cobbler to color the stamp.  Trees have to be green!

Christmas in July - July 10, 2018

Sadly, the Brightly Lit Christmas stamp set and coordinating dies Christmas Lamppost retired after just one holiday catalog in 2017.  I just couldn't let it go - it has so many possibilities - and I paired it with the current stamp set Christmas Pines, and the new stamp set Sitting Pretty.

This scene turned out almost exactly as I pictured it - so idyllic - so traditional Christmas.

It was supposed to be a picture of a little town with their Christmas banners out on all the lampposts, a bench near and someone waiting for a bus with their Christmas presents with a wreath they were going to deliver to family or friends.

Admittedly this one took some work and time.  I made only four of these.  Don't get me wrong, I totally enjoyed it (as always) but it was some work.  The banner, wreath, ribbon, and presents were all stamped and die cut.  The bench and cobblestones were die cut, and inked.

As I started stamping this, I had the lamppost and laid the bench on to look at placement.  It just looked so empty.  I got out the Christmas Pines stamps and used the snowflakes stamp with Balmy Blue.  It added the perfect touch.

This picture shows the detail of the bench with the cobblestones beneath it.  This die is a relatively new idea for Stampin' Up!  It's an embossing die.  It added the perfect touch to ground the bench.

Since the bench was way too long for the front of the card, I kept the cut off pieces, and used them to bring some continuity to the card interior.

Christmas in July - July 9, 2018

Here's another card I saw on either Facebook or Pinterest.   As you've probably seen, this technique is called an Eclipse Card.  Don't ask me where it got the name - I really don't know.

 This card is by no means perfect, and I'm going to make more of these.  As of today, there is only 1 so far.  I made some mistakes in stamping - so I'm going to clean those up and keep this one as a sample.

Here you can see a side view to see the letter separation more clearly.

Up to today, July 9th, I've already got 40 Christmas Cards made and ready to go!  After they get their picture taken, I sign them from my husband and me.  They then get place in envelopes and sealed.  All I have to do when it's time is to add addresses and return addresses.  It all adds up to no stress.
