Stamp Your Heart Out - Valentine Event

St. Valentine's Day is upon us again, and I have a "new" technique!  For our event, I'm presenting a card technique and a treat box.

First, this is called a Stack and Shuffle card.  I'll have a link to a document that explains the technique.  I also learned about it very recently on Pinterest.

I used coordinating cardstock and just played with the patterns.  On a few, I liked the pattern on the reverse and used it!

Here is the link to the directions.

This is the treat box I'm presenting.  It's exactly the same size as the original Conversation Hearts boxes we had as kids.  (That's what I'm stuffing these with!)

I used the same DSP to cover it, and cut-off scraps to cover the edges along with a little ribbon and some stamped hearts.  Fun, easy, and a very thoughtful trinket for a coworker or class of kids.  You can add a To/From on the back written in a die-cut heart!

Occasions 2022 Top 5 List #1

I'm definitely making another Top 5 list.... this Occasions catalog has lots of hidden treasures.

Occasions 2022 Favorites List 1

1.Sweet Talk Suite Collection (English)
157629s I really LOVE this suite of products. It's a really nice set for Valentine's Day. The DSP is so pretty and the colors are really beautiful together.
2.Love & Happiness Bundle (English)
157642s The embossing folder here doesn't look like much in the pictures but in person it is stunning. The other dies coordinate beautifully with the greetings in the stamp set.
3.Tulips Dies
157677s The tulips in this die set can be made as 3D pieces. Use the marbled SAB paper to make colored tulips with interest. The DSP from this set are really something else!
4.Flowering Rain Boots Bundle
157691s I LOVE LOVE LOVE these rain boots! We did this for a club meeting. They're so colorful and have lots of possibilities!
5.Daffodil Daydream Bundle
157795s Daffodils are absolutely my favorite flowers. This set makes really beautiful 3D daffodils as well as two images for coloring.

January Stamp Club - 2nd Set

As always, we make many cards at Club.  MANY.  I always find a technique or have requests of techniques and sometimes there are just things that must be shared.

This technique is easy.  Yes, really.

Cut two coordinating pieces of Designer Series Paper to 4" x 5 1/4".   Cut both, paying attention to the pattern from the top left corner to the bottom right on the diagonal.  You'll want to use a trimmer with a metal wire to get your corners cut on a miter.

Adhere the first piece leaving an equal border along the two sides.  Adhere the second piece right to the edge of the first.  The borders should be of equal width (or pretty close) on the opposite sides.

Add a greeting and a bit of ribbon, and you've got a very pretty card!

This greeting was stamped in Poppy Parade to coordinate with the background paper.
Here you can see the two cards from the two sheets of paper.

The greeting here was stamped in Soft Succulent to coordinate with the greens on the card.
Since the direction on the yellow piece was specifically directional, I had to cut two piece of the yellow.  That design just looks strange to me when it's upside down.

New Horizons

I am IN LOVE LOVE LOVE with this new paper.

Stampin up, admittedly has come up with some really gorgeous designer papers in the last few years - but this one speaks to me so loudly!

This is the first look we had of this paper as well as a few pictures.  In person, this is just phenomenal paper with so many possibilities!

Here are a few pictures that are in the catalog. (If you need one, shoot me an email and I'll send one your way!)

Here are two cards I made to start using this amazing paper.  I didn't do much!

I love them both, but of course this one is my favorite.  I put it on Blackberry Bliss Cardstock and matted the Thanks with Blackberry as well.  I die cut the mountains from the dies as well as the fence and grass in the card above.

Do I love this paper because it's all watercolor painted?  Do I love this paper so much because of all the mountain scenes?  The colors?  I don't know.  There's just something extra special about this paper.

I can see that before this catalog ends, I'll do a #LoveitChopIt set of cards.  There are so many possibilities.
