Christmas in July - July 22, 2018

FINALLY! Stampin' Up! is providing us with more Watercolor Pencils! There is an 'Assortment 2' pack out. The addition of more colors really made this card special.
I really love this stamp set called Father Christmas. It has that Victorian feel - and even more so with the watercoloring.

I was able to use two reds for Santa's suit and the toy sack to give more depth in the color as well all the other colors.
I've mentioned this before, but instead of using Blender Pens, use the Aqua Painters. You don't need much water, and the color spreads and blends beautifully.

I added this picture as a close-up so you could see the color gradients and the red rhinestones on the ivy.

The sentiment stamped on the interior of the card comes from a current stamp set Ready for Christmas.

Christmas In July - Christmas Greetings

This card is just a one layer card - but not boring in any way! (In my opinion, of course.) I saw this stamp set in the holiday catalog for 2016, and didn't bite on it until the very end so this is my first time using it! Shame on me, I know!

I used Tranquil Tide, a new In-Color for 2017-2019 for the greens on this card. The tree, the sentiment, and Santa's tote are colored with the Blender Pen and the Tranquil Tide ink.

You're going to see this stamp set more often! I see embossing... frames... lots of ideas!
