Annual Tags Event 4

This tag is very special.  So very special.
It features a limited time stamp set - Snow is Glistening, limited dies - Snowfall Thinlits, and the very beautiful White Velvet Paper. 

 I used the entire length of the short side of a piece of Balmy Blue cardstock to feature all the pretty snowflakes.
The largest snowflake is cut from the White Velvet paper.  It's so soft!  The layered snowflake is cut from silver foil, and the snowflake at the bottom is cut from silver glimmer paper.

 I used white embossing powder and the falling snow stamp at the top and bottom for falling snow, and fallen snow.

 You'll see these snowflakes again soon....   January!  Stay tuned.


This tag I'm featuring is definitely not traditional.  The Crumb Cake background I'm hoping gives it a vintage look.

 Winter Woods is the stamp set I used for the tree.  I really love this tree - it's so realistic looking.  The Season's Greeting is from Beautiful Blizzard, and I used the embellishments from the Santa's Workshop suite.

This tag is definitely one of my favorites, and it's going to my Great-Nephew for an early Christmas gift he must have early.

 I used some DSP for the background, colored the bow with alcohol markers, and die cut the tag, bow, and ribbon pieces from the coordinating die set. 

We needed to present some of our Teacher Assistants with appreciation gifts, and I made 5 more tags like this just not Christmas themed.  I colored the bows in Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Call Me Clover, Flirty Flamingo, and Pool Party.  Change the DSP in the background, and you have tags for any occasion!  So versatile!

Christmas Cards for a Stamp-a-Stack!

This will be a series of posts simply because once I started making cards from the new catalog, I couldn't stop!

I had a request to offer more cards with layers, and I've been working really hard on doing this (as you'll see in the next few posts).

Both cards I'm showcasing feature the Farmhouse Christmas stamp set and die cuts bundle.  This card came together more by trial and improvements than anything.  I had the house, tree, and fence cut from white cardstock.  I watercolored the house (I grew up in a house much like this with a green roof and shutters) and tree. 

After I added the snowy background, the fence didn't work.  I placed the white fence piece on the Crumb Cake stamp pad, and there was a nice contrasting fence!  I didn't ink the edges of the greeting, but that's an option I would definitely take for a copy of this card.  It would show the stitching on the pieces very nicely.

Here's a close-up of the house.  with all its details.  Watercolor, stamped and watercolored wreaths, and red bows.  Everything on the card is popped with dimensionals except the red bows.  They were just too small!  I used some liquid glue and tweezers. 

The only thing missing on the house is the color for the Christmas lights!  I added that later, after I took the picture - along with a bit more of Wink of Stella for some sparkle.

For this card, I got out my alcohol markers, known as Stampin' Blends.  The tree is Shaded Spruce, the car is Cherry Cobbler and Real Red, and Smoky Slate and Light Black blends for the chrome and tires.
Add some plaid paper, a Merry Christmas sentiment with a double bow, and you have a very nice Christmas card.  The red and green rhinestones are also colored with the Stampin' Blends markers.

Christmas in July - July 25, 2018

 I've featured the Four Panel cards a few times this year and here they are again!  I wanted to play with the new Under the Mistletoe DSP. 

 I used the very last bits of my Red sparkle trim on these cards.  It wasn't quite enough to make bows, so I just free formed and attached them under the merry Christmas.

 Why am I showing 3 pictures of the same card?  I used all different placements for the different patterns on the paper.  You'll have to pick which one you like best.

Four Panel cards can be used for Birthday cards (shown previously), Christmas Cards, Thank you cards.  Just about any type of card you could imagine!

I usually feature a Santa card on July 25th.  I always send one to my teacher friend for her kids.  I have an idea for a Santa series.  They will be featured soon.
