Beautiful Friendship Birthday

Both of these cards use one of my current favorite stamp sets.  Beautiful Friendship has been a very versatile set.  I've made Birthday cards, Sympathy cards, Thank you cards - it just has so many possibilities!

I made this post to show the versatility of this stamp set.  I made two completely different birthday cards.  One features purples and Melon Mambo, and the second features blues, yellows, and Cinnamon Cider.  I used the same background stamps and came up with two completely different looks based on the colors.

Hidden Surprise Card

This card is the first one I made to prepare for the video.  It's a Hidden Surprise Card, and uses the main colors Calypso Coral along with the butterflies from the new DSP coming out soon called Butterfly Bijou.

You can order amazing Suite now!  This is an early release from the 2021 Annual Catalog so it will be available for well over a year.  The paper is gorgeous and is a lot of fun to play with!  So many things that can be done.

Hydrangea Hill Suite Panels

This card was inspired by the Hydrangea Suite.  I used this 3 panel card design for a fair entry a few years ago and thought it would be perfect with this absolute gorgeous paper!

The trick with this is really easy!  Cut the three panels as one piece to start with so you have continuity between the parts.  Then make the cuts to make the panes.  Looking closely you can see how the design continues between one panel and the other.

I used Gorgeous Grape as the card base, Basic Black as a layer, a piece of striped DSP as the background, Highland Heather as the mats, and more of the DSP for the panel fronts.  The greeting is stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink.

On the inside, I used a strip of the striped DSP and layered a cut-off piece of the hydrangea paper for some interest.

If you'd like the exact cutting directions, let me know and I'll add them.
