Christmas in July - Glitter Trees


Christmas in July for today has to do with GLITTER!  
 The stamp set I'm using is older than the hills, but still relevant, and still in the catalog!   The picture below I took without the flash so you could see the sparkly glitter.  SO pretty!

I don't know when Christmas trees became so important to me.  Every year as kids we got to help pick out the tree.  As an adult I haven't always had a Christmas tree for one reason or the other up during the holidays, but I always have them around the house.  I collect them.  My grandmother's ceramic Christmas tree sits in the dining room with a timer so it is lit year-round.  I have figurines of trees, or figurines with trees all over the house.  I really LOVE Christmas trees!

Last Christmas Card of 2016.... then on to 2017!

 Here again I've used the stamp set Lovely as a Tree.  This card is very simple - but stunning!  You need only three items to produce this card (see below) and impress your friends and family! 

 Cut the Night of Navy panel just large enough to fit the trees image.  Add 1/4 inch border to the white cardstock to create a contrasting frame.. 
Use the Embossing Buddy lightly over the areas you plan to emboss.

Happy New Year 2017! A few final Christmas Cards for 2016

 In mid-November, right before Thanksgiving, I realized I didn't have enough Christmas cards for my list of family and friends, and definitely not enough for my co-workers!

I have a tendency to make cards look complicated, even though they seem quite simple to me.  Here I knew if I wanted a lot of cards done in one day, I had to make quite simple cards.

I made only one of the train card.  My dad is crazy for trains!  He's got a train room in the basement... so when I saw this stamp set, I had to get it!  Coming in the Occasions catalog are watercolor pencils!  I was fortunate enough to get a set from our On-Stage event and have been playing with them A LOT!

This card features a stamp set called Lovely as a Tree.  I found out recently that it has recurred in the catalog for 14 years!  Not sure if that's true, but I've seen it as long as I've known about Stampin' Up!  It is incredibly versatile!

I really LOVE this Santa cut!  I've used it on numerous cards and tags throughout this entire Christmas season.
