Mail A Card Monday!

It's Monday morning!  Do you have your cards ready to go today for #mailacardMonday?

After working on this project for a week, I quickly realized I didn't have enough cards that weren't birthday cards to send out in the mail!

SO I did a #loveitchopit session and cut up the rest of my pack of the Gingham Gala paper.  I used mat size cuts 4" by 5 1/4".

I used the scraps cut off the DSP to stamp and punch out the vases.  I merged the two stamp sets to add in all the flowers.  The orchids have tiny rhinestones on the three largest, and I used the Gingham Gala sequins to add more sparkle.
Above shows the Balmy Blue Gingham, and below you can see the Grapefruit Grove Gingham paper.
The 'a little note' greeting comes from the Butterfly Gala stamp set, and the "Thinking of You" is from the Treat Time stamp set.
Here you have the Daffodil Delight Gingham, and below is the Highland Heather gingham.
I also used the strips for decorating the insides of the cards.
I got 18 cards out of the last of my Gingham paper.  Using the whole pack, you could get 40 cards!  I just used what I had left to make these 18.

Contact me, and I'll show you how easy these very pretty cards are to make!

New Year - New Projects!

There are some hashtags floating around the Stampin' World and I've been using 3 since the end of December.

The first- #loveitchopit  Love It, Chop It.  This is when you just end up with TOO much paper!  There are way too many beautiful sheets of Designer Paper out there.  The tendency is to hoard them because they're so beautiful!  So, a fellow demonstrator started the hashtag Love it Chop It.  I started out the year using this on two sets of my DSP.

The next hashtag is #mailacardmonday  Mail A Card Monday.  This is for everyone - though for card makers this is especially beneficial since we make cards, and Don't Send Them!  It's a problem.

I took some of my very favorite paper and covered a Target mini-mailbox I've had for awhile... you'll see this often here, and on my Facebook page.

The last hashtag is #simplestamping  Simple Stamping.  This one is a Stampin' Up! project for the year.  It's all about using ONLY paper and ink to make beautiful cards.  I have a few cards - but will show you one here.  More details about it in a post that's coming.

I used one of the Stampin' Up! note cards, and stamped the frosting on the envelope as well.  There is another series coming from more of the new stamps.
